1996 Mariner EFIIMG_7216.JPGI have owned this engine for 3 years and maybe have put 50 hours on it.
I just toasted my 4th alternator belt. This time is jammed in the throttle body and she was stuck at 4000 RPM's to the ramp, thank god for kill switches.
The wheel on top of the motor is a little rusty, not bad. The wheel on top of the alternator is very rusty. The last time I had it replaced, it was done proffesionaly by a reputable shop, nothing was said about the corrosion or any other issues. My bigger concern is that there are both junks an dust inside the cowling and the throttle body shows signs of ingesting dust and junks.
Thoughts appreciated.
