Thanks for all of the suggestions. Use some detergent in water-worked well but took a long time to flush it all out with a hose.

I have a tan carpet so blood stains look really bad. What I do is, as soon as the fish is delt with, I flush the spot/s with clean bottle water, then take a scrub brush and brush them until the blood is well diluted, flush again, then I blot by standing on paper towel. Works well, but has to be done right away.

That sounds like you'd just replace your blood stain with a stanky beer stain

There are 2 types of stains. Tannin stain and Protein stain. Blood is a protien stain. Folex is good, hydrogen peroxide works as well. The TRICK is to put a neturalizing solution on it after you extract the stain.

Here's a good link to what both the protein as well as tannin stain removers do, and how to use them.
I've not found a better product, (or products) for the total interior detailing solution. Although I'm a huge fan of Folex for lighter stains.

Off topic a little, but how many of you pour soda over the gills of a bleeder, and does it work?

This chart contains methods for removing common stains and soils:
    A. Medium-soft brush, warm soapy water. Rinse. Dry.
    B. Vinyl Finish Cleaner or household cleaner such as Fantastik.
    C. One tablespoon ammonia, one-fourth cup hydrogen peroxide, threefourths
cup water applied with medium soft brush. Rinse. Dry.
    D. Wipe or scrape off excess (chill gum with ice first).
    E. Denatured Alcohol. Rinse. Dry.
    F. Follow instructions of stain agent
    from ranger manual

Peroxide, that’s how smart medical tech and such keep blood outa white. I use cotton balls soaked in peroxide, pulls the blood into cotton balls. I guess a rag might work. Guaranteed cotton balls work
