I have come to dislike Mustad hooks for the most part.

You got a bad batch, it happens. It happens more frequently with cutting point hooks but even with needle points they will still roll if they weren't tempered correctly. I've been using the VMC 7161 and I'm really happy with them, points have been great and over the last 2 years have not had any issues.

I have been using the Premium Eagle Claws... I'd put them against most hooks and the price is right too. I buy them by the thousand if not more.

Same here, quality has gone down hill it seems the past couple of years. The new Eagle Claws are quite impressive as well as cheaper.

Yep, Eagle Claw Black Platinum hooks are one of my favorites as well. Hooks designated with "L" or "EL" are models that are laser sharp, the needle points are finer and hard tempered for a sharper hook. Hooks that have "BP" after the number are Black Platinum models which are a black nickel type finish. The Eagle Claw hook that you would want as a replacement to the Mustad 32786 is the L786BP, but depending on where you get it the number may just be 786BP or just L786 but it is a laser sharp model and black platinum. They also make the 730 in the black platinum finish but the 786 is better. https://barlowstackle.com/Eagle-Claw...ig-Hook-P2632/

The black platinum hooks from Eagle Claw are the way to go. I have used them for several years. I buy them by the thousand also.
