Hmm I did that but looks like very few carry it, maybe because I searched what he said "slip shad". Thanks for the link.

I switch to an open hook head after they get a little ripped up on the weedless jig heads. I am good with only catching a couple bass on each Kitech when fishing in a tournament.

I like screwlock ballheads. The Spotsticker finesse ones are pretty good, I powderpaint them.

start messing with that mend it. I always get the paddles coming off on my swimbaits when I do throw them.

Also....dont throw away a keitech with a tail torn off....keep it for a chatterbait trailer. Even if its a nub.....they have a surprisingly violent vibration on a chatterbait and also gives it a strange baitfish profile imo (stumpy keitechs)!

Must be something with the head you are using, I use them a lot and they definitey don't tear up very easily. I use the gel, as mentioned, but you may want to look into the head. I use Scottsboro Tackle and revenge heads and have no issues. Hope this helps.

I use the owner hooks that come with the twistlock. I replace the medium size twistlock to the large size and it holds the bait really well.

Super glue. I don’t care how fancy or expensive a head you use with the latest contraption poured into it; still just use super glue. Blue and grey bottle of the gel stuff works awesome.

Then when the hook shank starts pulling thru the body; super glue the sides of the bait back around or actually on the hook shank.

I use them mostly in Canada for smallies and we have a ton of pike there, too, so I won't spend a lot of money on jigheads. Gets expensive with $2.00 jigheads between the pike and rocks. I went to BPS Speed Shad. Cheaper, a lot more durable and they will stick fine on a simple ball jig with a dot of Loctite gel super glue.

Use these, this will solve your problem, Ryan Salzman's TruBass swim bait heads are the best I've used. So are the swimbaits as far as hollow body's go but that's a different discussion. The twistlock and long shank are key to keeping the bait attached plus delivering the right action. Work wonders year round around here.

Super Glue Gel Control. Blue and Gray bottle. Works well on a regular old ball head jig. The glue is way cheaper than the expensive heads...
