    Pretty bummed out

Just got word that my 300R delivery date has slipped from Nov to Apr. That sucks. Going to be a long wait!!! I just thought hunting season would make it a short wait then they throw this on me. Hopefully BCB can pull a rabbit out of their hat.

    Cheers

5 months isnt a slip! Its a complete crash and burn!
Thats quite an extended delay. I had read somewhere on the lounge the 300R had quite a wait.
Hopefully it can happen sooner for you!

Yes I ordered a new boat thru EK Marine in the first week of Sept. I was told Nov time frame for the motor delivery and my dealer called me yesterday and told me that the it would be April before they could get the motor.

Can you get the 300 ProXS quicker? If so, I'd be looking to go that route. Plus, I believe from all I've seen, heard and been in....that BCB does not recommend the Sporty foot anyway...so you'd probably be better off with the TM foot from a ProXS.

Randy with Liberator boats has some that he is advertising. Get your boat all rigged except motor or have one shipped to the dealer if you can find one elsewhere.

There is a huge power difference from the 300 Pro XS to the 300R. You just can’t get it all connected to the water.

And in 2013 when I was having holeshot issues with my Eyra/250 ProXS/Power Poles I was told to drop pitch by BCB. Not wanting to do that I figured out to drill additional exhaust holes in the 26 Fury or switch to a 27 Bravo XS and raise the plate to solve those issues. I'm sure Elwood will figure it out...

I'm sure Elwood will chime in. He had an Eyra with a SHO that would run 84mph. 80 with a livewells full.
To get a 300 ProXs with the torque master is really accomplishing nothing as it it limited to around 85 mph.
The 300R with the Sportmaster will allow him to use the engine to its full potential. Thus gaining more speeds.
    Just my opinion.

Thank you BCB. You have my trust. I also recognize that I am exploring new territory with this motor will see some defeats and mile stones. The experience and challenges excepted!! Looking forward to another exceptional product from BCB.

Elwood, we had an in depth conversation with our Mercury representative in the office today. We think that present dates will soon be updated (are already on most) and that we will see the engine within a few weeks. Don’t sweat this, just a few more days added to it.

Unless i'm misinterpreting what you're saying, there's a big difference between buying a new prop on your own, and pulling a 300HP engine out of thin air.

Slppknobber. Yes you interpreted wrong. 5keepwrs Was saying that we can work through our own issues and sometimes they are solved out of the box. BCB I am super excited about my new boat and will endure the wait. The shorter the wait the better but willing to go the distance to get what I want. Thank you for the updates!
