    186 DCX vs 190

I have searched the internet for the last two days before asking this question. Besides HP, what would be an advantage to buying a 190 vs the 186 I currently have?

    Thank you!
    Tom

Sounds like 4”. My buddy had a 190 and loved everything about it, except for 1 thing. The width, once he got in my wide body Champ, he couldn’t stand the skinnier Champ anymore. He sold the 190 and found a 196, but that 190 was a damn good running boat.

I thought 6" but wasn't sure. I cant find anything online. It was a tough talk at dinner last night but she finally gave me the OK.
I actually like my skinny champ. The lakes I fish have a lot of trees

My 190 can drive itself that's how good the ride is. I don't know how many times I'very come up on an odd wave or wake, I get all puckered up, and then she just cuts trough it like the wave wasn't even there. It is a skinny deck. I'm always tripping around my rods. And lacks rear storage. But she's a great Mt. Home Champ, even with a 150HP.

Love my 190, but I came from a 176 so the 190 is definitely bigger and better

The guy I bought it from is a bbc member and posts quite often. I told him I wanted first shot if he ever sold. Got the call two nights ago. I’ll post as soon as it’s official because I know he’s making deal on another’s boat as well.

Crap, maybe 6”. Sleep deprivation is bad.
