    2nd/3rd Dove Seasons

    Anyone ever have success hunting the later dove seasons? I have a spot that I’m considering top sewing winter wheat - second season opens October 12th

    I use to have a field for last season and they would come through a gap about 30 at a time. Farmer cut corn late.

    Over the years I have pretty much only hunted the first two weekends as I hate to jack up my deer places too bad shooting. I will say that early Dec here in Oklahoma there is a massive amount of birds that come through. The last few years I think the numbers are stronger in December than they are in September. I haven’t ever hunted that season though.

    We’re gonna Hunt next Saturday, but the laws on top sewing are a little sketchy. To be safe we’re just gonna hope it rains and the farmer will sew his own wheat soon
