    Not good , you need something like a dobyns 806cb or a falcon lowrider 7'9 heavy moderate.

    You need a rod that's rated for 2 oz or more. 10xd weighs 2 oz.. If you do a search in this section for "10xd rod" ,you'll get plenty of results.

    I would have to agree with John D. Those over sized plugs pull hard so the longer rod helps you out quite a bit plus there usually very heavy in weight. That rod would work for 6XDs and big over sized squarebills but nothing more then a 6XD

    What you want is the Fitzgerald original series ledge rod. It’s 7’10 and it’s a beast I use it for 10XD’s, DD’s any of the mag size cranks.
