MERCURY 60 4 STROKE EFI. HELP DON

    SER# 1C069613

Need help from Mr Don or Joe or someone that knows for sure please.

I would like to put NKG plugs in my motor. I think this one is a direct replacement. NKG # DCPR7E gap at .028. Can you confirm this please. The plugs in it now are Champion RA8HC gap at .040

    Thank You.

Was hoping Don or Joe or someone that knew for sure this NKG plug & gap was the correct replacement for this motor would have the time to answer this question. I do not want to damage my motor. Thanks for any help.

I would not use any other plug/gap than as specified in your owner's manual and from what I could find, that would be the Champion RA8HC gapped at .040". There should be a sticker or label on your engine specifying the same.

10-4 to what SilverFox stated. Use the plugs the manufacturer calls for and the gas / octane specified.

RA8HC is indeed the correct plug.
