Helix 10 G3N with motorguide built in transducer

Recently humminbird replaced my gen 1 with a gen 3. I have a XI5 trolling motor with built in ducer. I realize I will not get chirp from it but would like to use the built in. On my last trip it would not read it. All connections are good.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks

Has it ever worked with this unit, or did it work for a while and then fail? Does it work at all or just have poor 2D? That unit is expecting to have a HW dual spectrum chirp transducer connected .... I don't know what your transducer selections are for that unit, but the built in for the xi-5 is a 200/83 transducer. If you have that option try it.

Also, did the same setup work with your G1 unit?

Yes it worked with the G1. This is the first outing with the new unit. The issue is the electric steer trolling motor and cable routing. It can be done but I'd like to put it off until winter. I messed it with some while i was fishing. We were in a tournament and I just said screw it until I could spend more time with it. I'll look deeper this evening and see what I can find. Thanks for the replies. I may have to bite the bullet and get some air hose and mount the HB ducer to on their sooner than I wanted to.

If you have the option to select dual beam or 83/200 in the selected transducer settings you may be OK .... bet even without changing that setting you should be getting some sort of return.
