Red mark shows how transducer position is updated.

    Not going to be cheap!!!
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.

Most likely using magnetic, like a compass.

I think, that not be much expensive, this is out of corpo - product. Of course- when you using expensive parts, cost will be higher than cheap ones. I contacted with inventor @ another big thing for me- 360view for Lowrance and I was suprised about price.

Hope that Alex will respond on this topic as soon as possible.

    BTW - I'm sure that i'snt magnetic- Point1+ magnetic= disaster ;)

If Point1 is needed- NMEA2000 too.

I'm no expert on this stuff by any means and know nothing about the product, but since it has a point 1 on top of it, I'd guess it takes the gps position and heading reading from the point one, then uses that to calculate the heading required to aim the transducer at a waypoint. Very similar to how your gps trolling motor points itself directly at a waypoint when you tell it to navigate to that waypoint.

Hello. My name is Alexander. I invented and implemented this device. If you have questions, I will be happy to answer. The device connects to the NMEA2000 network. Management is a keyring (same as Motorguide). 2 buttons - right / left. Turn and see something interesting on the display, release the button: tracking of the selected target begins. Everything is simple.

Thanks. We can combine the MagicBox TC with Motorguide controls and you can follow the point directly from the Panoptix screen. This is briefly shown in the next video (0 to 2 minutes). Instead of a keychain with 2 buttons, we used a wired remote control with a control wheel.
