hybrid striped bass vs largemouth bass pound per pound which one fights better?

I nave never caught a hybrid striped bass(wiper), and don't intend to unless they are better fighters than largemouth bass.

A hybrid will run circles around a white bass.

Okay.. oops sorry POLL: If a Walleye left Michigan on the 5:17 p.m. Southbound train and interbred with a Mississippi Mudcat en route to New Orleans, would it fight harder/longer than a Crayfish that just escaped a Backyard Boil or would a Maryland Blue Crab garnish the salad better?

Holy heck 12-0, poor largemouth. Been spanked by a mudfish and now by some unntural hybrid that can't even breed.

ok are hybrid stripers as good of fighters as pure stripers (very familliar with those). Talking about fish of the sane size here.

I fish for stripers and hybrids. Hybrid will outpull a striper of the same size every time. Hybrids are more aggressive and seem to have more endurance. I love to catch hybrids. When you hook a hybrid while fishing for stripers you can tell the difference pretty quick. Wish more were stocked around here. They tolerate hot water better than stripers. Stripers sometimes die off in late summer heat. Haven’t seen a summer kill of hybrids.Stripers and hybrids have ruined a lot of bass fishermen (me included). Good luck.

wipers - #1 cause of tendonitis (especially if they are boiling and catching them with topwater baits)

I fish for largemouths and smallmouths and occassionally catch striped bass on SML. The stripers are a blast to catch on bass tackle (I am typically using 10 lb. fluoro) and you have to be patient to land them but they don't jump so it's a bit of an apple to potatoes comparison. There is nothing like a smallmouth blasting 3 feet out of the water but no doubt, stripers are very strong with good endurance. And a 10 lb. striper will give the wife and I 4-5 meals.
