    Best smallmouth lakes in NC?

    I know of Fontana, you guys have any others that are mainly smallmouth?

    I'd go to Lake James 1000/1 over Fontana.

    Jordan, the Yadkin River from Pilot Mountain State Park and up is as Problay good as it's gets. But difficult to fish without a kayak.
    Or a jet boat. Big smallies are in there.

    Apalachia or Hiwassee, but don't tell anyone.
    NC state record SM came from Hiwassee, but several years ago.

    Both lakes do have mostly spotted bass though.
