    921 w/4XS setup questions

Picked up a demo 2019 921 w/250 4xs. I haven't spent much time trying to setup, but this weekend it ran 71-72 with a little better than 1/2 tank of gas, my partner and I (probably a combined 390lbs) and medium amount of tackle. Running Atlas Hydraulic JP at 12-14 and RPMs around 5900 with 24 Fury 3. Had another Phoenix owner tell me I should really consider a 23 Fury 3 as he thought speed and acceleration would increase with that combo. Would be really interested to hear what other 921 owners with the 4xs are running / setup.

You should be turning over 6000 RPM with that motor. Do you remember how high on the trim you were? You might want to try running the jack plate higher, like 16-17 on the gauge.

I have a 2019 920 with the same motor. I run the Atlas gauge on 16-17 at WOT and I'm turning over 6000 RPM. I carry a lot of gear and run heavy.

I just bought the 921 pro xp. I’m running a 24 fury, 10’ poles The atlas is set on 9. Fuel is 3/4 full, both Livewell full, 1 person =76 2 people =73 mph. I did spend some $$$ with Drew on 4 battery’s. What I’ve noticed is boat runs better at less trim. I put foot to the floor then bump trim and see mph, keep doing that til boat slows. Just bumps till you find sweet spot. After that move jack plate 1or 2 numbers only. Then seat time. My RPMs high 5900s I’ve got 2-24 fury and one of them is 7mph slower than the other.

Depending on elevation and load we are seeing 72-76 with that same set up.

I ordered a 24 Fury 4. Once I get some time on it along with my 24 Fury 3 I will post numbers.

I have the same boat and motor as you. I think you'll find that if you run the atlas at 13-14, you'll be running the same speed or faster but at lower rpms.... I forgot to lower mine one day and noticed I was turning 6200 at 70 MPH. As soon as I lowered it to 14 the speed picked up and Rs went down. I also run very heavy

I meant what hole on engine used to mount to Atlas. Makes a diff when you discuss what Atlas gauge number you use. Thanks
