Controls Wire Tubing Rubbing Splash well.

When I was cleaning my boat the other day (z18) and noticed the controls tubing going to the motor (mercury 150 fourstroke) were rubbing small little grooves in the front side of the splash well.The splash well is white on my boat so it is not really noticeable just looking at it, but when I cleaned it I lifted to tubing to clean under it and felt the little grooves it was rubbing.

Boat is only a year old so its not too bad yet, but don't want it to get worse. Any advice on what I could put on the splash well or tubing to help with this? Want it to look nice, but be pretty simple to install.

3M clear vinyl film should work.

Yep, this appears to be a common and ongoing problem. I used Gator Skinz. (The Gator Skinz appears crooked in the pic due to the angle.)

I use the 3m clear vinly on all my boats for this. If ur buying a new boat this is one of the things you should just do immediately.

Clear Vinyl for me. I have all over the trouble spots on my Z21.
Nobody notices unless I tell them its there.

what are some other trouble spots you have had? It took me this long to find this one so if there are some other common issue spots that you know of let me know so I can check those spots also.
