Second time this year, I have had a fish flop and hook me. This one came courtesy of a 3# channel cat. The hook broke when it happened, which at least didn't keep me hooked to the fish. Had to use pliers to push the hook on through and pull out the other side.

Damn cat hit a crankbait the other day. I'm trying to humanely unhook it and it spined me. Still hurts. Glad you got that hook out of you.
Happened about three months ago to me, two out of three trebles past the barb, Trip to the hospital and $2900 later.
