    Question Proformance Question

Got out today....1/2 tank of gas, both live wells full, all tackle, and I carry a heavy load, myself (155#) ......Fury 24 stock, 74.5 mph at 5830 RPMs. Atlas JP at "13" which measures out to 3.25" below pad. Do I need to look at a 23 Fury 3 blade??

I posted this on the Merc. forum as well but interested in what some Phoenix 721 owners have experienced with the ProXs 250 V8

you can have 4 different fury props and they will all run a little different out of the box... some are hot and need no work and some need work... your RPM's are low... you need to be up 6000k to 6200k... have you tried to raise your jack plate any? 3 1/2 is a good starting point you might want to raise your jack plate a tad before you do any prop work... or find another 24 fury 3 and barrow it just to see... my friend and I just set his 921 phx up with 36 volt TM and 24 fury 3 with mercury 250 4 stoke getting 6100 RPM no power poles and only him driving 76.4 mph with hydro atlas and stock fury 3 24 pitch..

He's at 3.25 I wouldn't go to 3.5. I would raise slightly first to around 3" and see how that affects things, make sure you're still getting adequate water pressure. Then, I would try the 23p fury.

Thanks guys. I have raised the plate and I start to lose speed much above 3.25". Seems like I start losing bite.....stern starts rising and bow lowers...very gradually with each bump of the plate upwards. I have run a 26P Temp+ and was able to raise it up to 2.75 but not turning the RPMs. I do have duel 8' PPs on the stern and a 36V Ultrex o the bow

I would get that fury worked. They can be off out of the box and a good prop guy can make it run better just getting it back to proper pitch

I have the same boat and motor combo running a 24 fury 3 blade and mine likes to run around 16 on the hydro jackplate guage. Best I have seen so far was 76 with two people, with not much walking, when I lower the jackplate the boat walks a lot more

My JP is a 10" Atlas.....Do you know what your prop to pad measurement is? What do you think your average speed is at WOT?
    Thanks

I'm at about the same as ur numbers I saw 76 when I first got it but now the tackle shops in the boat with just me 74-75 ...I tried a 23 and it was right at the rev limiter...my only downfall I've bought it off the lot and it has a manual plate but I'm looking into a atlas...is there that much of an advantage to a hydraulic jackplate? I've never owned a boat that had one

    I have a 12" atlas
From the measurements i took the motor is about 1.5" ptp when the gauge reads 16 which sounds crazy to me but other people have told me they run there motor around there also.
I usually run it at 16 and just adjust my trim accordingly, if i am just cruising i will trim all the way up then bump it down 2 times and it will ride pretty good around 70-72 full throttle, when im trying to get everything out of it i trim til it stops and have to really drive it, depending on conditions and load i get 74-76 pretty consistent

It does help with dialing it in when you have different loads or different props. It can also help in different weather conditions. A lot of the time once you find that sweet spot, you leave it there but it helps to know you are getting all you can out of it when you want to.
