    2.5 Sport 280 hp Merc Racing for Don

    Don, I have been running Penzoil 100% synthetic which is no longer available. What do you recommend?

    The oil recommendation from my shop manual is Performance Blend P/N 92-813743A2 developed for nikasil motors. Mercury customer service says that oil is superceded by an oil I believe was developed for Optimax racing outboards not nikasil motors. Mercury Racing Synthetic Blend 2-Stroke Oil | 8M0078011 | 1 - Is this the best oil for my motor?
