Humminbird 10 and 12 freezing up

3 weeks ago fished a club tournament and my 12 at counsel froze up could not get it to get out of 1st screen says humminbird, would not turn off either unplugged and still froze . My 10 up front was fine , next day try the 12 again and it worked so thought all was good. 3 weeks later fished another club tournament and this time the 10 up front frozen and the 12 at counsel all good. Next day tried 10 at home and all good. Any ideas thinking maybe get new battery and try it and see if that helps.
