    New Crestliner Model - XF

(Annnnd I botched the title. Doh!)

Just got an email from crestliner with their new 2020 catalog. Looks like the XF replaces the VT.

Looks like it’s 2” narrower but carries the width much further forward. Comes in an 18’10” (max 150hp) and a 17’8” (max 90hp).

I wish they would make a pad hull 18'6" to 19' with a 175 to 200 hp rating. That would make me trade my vt in.

7'7" will allow this package to easily fit through a 8' garage door opening which is a big deal at least in my neck of the woods.

Having the 150hp as an option is also a big plus. I'll be looking closely at these as soon as I can find one.

The console is much nicer than the VT's. Almost makes me wonder if it can be swapped out on my VT...

Maybe a good time to pick up a vt model since they are going to stop making them?

What speeds to you think we will see with the 115 Pro XS and the 150 Pro XS?

Just trying to determine if the extra $4000 is worth it for the 150.

Also interested in which one will get the best MPG at say 30mph.

being 6'4, most of the 17'-18' boats aren't very comfortable for me, but i could stretch out with both legs under the console. it's got me checkin out the 188 now.

A 150 doing 70 on that boat... Not unless you do some modification. It will most likely top out at 62.

Grizz the 115 will probably do ok on the boat top end will likely be in the mid 40's. That being said the 150 won't have to work as hard to push that boat which means you should see a lot of overall benefit if you don't run at full throttle all of the time. The good thing though is if you need the power you've got it with the 150. Though there is a $4K difference I personally feel that overall the price difference would be worth it.

Looking forward to looking at one of these as soon as they arrive at the dealer.

18' boat with a 150 Mercury Pro XS for under $30,000 definately has my interest.

I will have 1.75" on either side to squeeze into my garage.

Dealer got one in yesterday at 9am and sold it at 1pm. Great looking boat with width carried from the back to the front. Should see more of these out real soon.

Personally the VT series had better look to them than the new XF series. I think I am just partial to my rig. When did Lowe begin build Crestliner? Did I miss something?

They are both owned by Brunswick Boat Group. As is Bayliner, Boston Whaler, Lund, and a few others. On my 19 VT17, the plate on the bow where the trim switch is has a Lowe part number on the back of it. Brunswick also owns Mercury and Motorguide.

I like the looks of the XFC .. I like the wider front. Being able to sit 2 across will be nice, especially since getting the Livescope, we're both glued to the screen watching fish

Surprised the chine width is 4" narrower and the sides are 3" shorter on the XF, but it is 5" longer. I do like the console though!
