I read the instructions on how to wire the unit and it says direct to the batter or fuse box. I powered my Lowrance through the fuse box with no problems or interference. Wondering which is better for the 93sv so I only have to do this once. Im thinking I would be ok going through the fuse box. Also the fuse box is wired to the starting battery.

Fuse box is fine, just make sure that you have correct size fuse. I have both of my units going thru fuse box with no issues.

running to fuse box is ok, but caution must be taken not to wrap wires around others in the area. I had to insulate my power cable with extra covering to keep from starting battery wires as every time i started motor it would kill my 93vs and i would have to turn back on.
