    Iphone data question

Wifeys phone is using mobile data in the middle of the night and odd hours when she isn't using the phone. I've checked under cellular data app usage and none of them are abnormally high. We got the "over your data" message from ATT. Figured maybe it was location services, but her apps are only set up for location "when using the app". What the hell could be using data in the middle of the night?

Close all the apps out before bed and recheck.

The iCloud backup could be your culprit

She have WiFi on at home and in the middle of the night? (Assuming she’s somewhere there’s wifi)

Go Under settings > cellular...then scroll down

it’lol show you the data usage by app and you have the option of turning on or off the cellular data.

Id also power down restart the phone too

Yes...but obviously it wasn't hooking up to the wifi....I think Ive figured it out...seems the fitbit app will use alot of data trying to sync constantly and if not on wifi can eat up some mobile data.

Turn locations services off and then turn background refresh off. All those eat up data in the background. you can go through the cellular option in the settings and find out what is using data and set those apps accordingly to only use data when in use and not in the background.
