This decision is just horrible! The people in this community need to replace every one of those board members. What a sad commentary on what is happening in our society. While the District fully supports students and staff in moments of crisis, it cannot allow memorializing or acknowledging one student without allowing it for both.

Its a shame but that’s the litigious society we live in nowadays.The District will not sanction any memorials or acknowledgements because it would be legally required to do so for all students involved in order to protect the District against possible legal claims. Instead, the District will remain neutral. I agree that the Cheerleaders should do it anyways, but I will guarantee that they will get in trouble in some way, like a suspension or something. The board members cannot be made to look like the idiots they are. They will retaliate. They are board members for the power, not to help the school system...

What murderers family sued a school for not memorializing their murder child? im not a lawyer and maybe one can chime in...but what the hell are you suing them for?....and winnng? Makes no sense at all to me.
I hope they do it anyway and see what the school board will do. Force their hand.

The original decision, handed down Tuesday, enraged family, friends and the community.
A moment of silence and dedicated, halftime cheer was planned for Friday’s Bradford football game in remembrance of former Red Devil cheerleader Kaylie Juga, who was shot and killed inside her family’s home on May 9.
When it comes time to vote in new board members, every legal adult should remember this disgusting act from the board to ensure they never get another opportunity to spit on this young ladies grave again.
