    Buying a bullet next year

    Ima retire next year and am fairly certain I’m gonna buy a older bullet. I’ve owned multiple blazers which r great boats just wanted to try a bullet. Any of u guys know when of if they stopped using wood. Thx in advance

    Like Bullet Bling said, don't think we have got there yet. I assume the pad still contains balsa wood. And there is the transom.

    I’ve never understood the whole don’t want “wood” thing....especially with a product like balsa. Some think “composite” means no wood. Water intrusion will reak havoc on most anything.

    All of them even new have balsa in the pad, sides of the hull, rear hull sections, etc. it’s all fiberglassed over and filled with epoxy too. If you get a chance to go to the plant in Knoxville you can see exactly how it’s done. I don’t think I have a pic from when I made a few visits but I will look to see.
