What is wrong with this 2d image

I’m not sure what’s going on with my 2d images. My side imaging is fine and so is DI. This is a Helix 10 Mega SI g2n and it has the newest software. When I first turn the unit on the 2d picture is not very good it’s almost like the colors are running if that makes sense but after a few minutes it clears up some. The live 2d is no where close to the images in simulator mode. I had to resize the picture but hopefully there’s enough to where you see what I’m talking about. I don’t remember the images being like this before the update and I’m not sure if that’s even the issue. I have the mega transom transducer and a shoot thru for high speed and they work fine. Thanks

Do you have the correct transducer selected?

Good question. After I did the update wouldn’t the correct transducer be chosen automatically? Is it just me or is that a bad 2d image?

Try removing the Y cable as a troubleshooting measure and connect directly to the Mega transducer to see if that makes any difference ..... that will determine if the problem is in the unit or the shoot thru / Y cable.

Take a unit snapshot so we can see what the unit is doing instead of that photo.

Do you mean on a SD card? If so, I do not have a way to transfer it to my IPad that’s why I posted that picture.

How about a picture of the whole display?

I had to resize it is the reason it’s like that. What do you use to resize pics?

At least show the readouts and the depth scale.

Your images looks something like this and there is nothing wrong with this:
