Both my wife's parents spent the last decade of their life living with us, enjoyed it, blessed to have a big home. Her dad was a good fisherman as was her mom at the dock, we have some amazing saltwater pictures of them when they were younger, south Miami, Homestead Florida was their home.

Miss my deceased MIL. Lived with us the last six years of her life.she was a cancer survivor with health issues. Never complained and was an inspiration to all who knew her.

I suppose I was a lucky guy. My M-I-L was a wonderful woman. Funny, smart, and agreeable. My Mom and her were great friends, and my wife was very close to my Mom. I never had a chance if I F@#*ed up. And my M-I-L was an RN. If you felt bad, you got a shot of B-12 cocktail. If you felt good, you got a shot of vodka and orange juice.

Mine is a nice woman, but man is she nosey. You will be sitting on the couch and all of a sudden you are playing 2,000 questions. It's similar to the old game 20 questions, but much more in depth. When she comes to visit or we go there to visit, my wife can handle about a day and then she is ready to leave. Very critical of everything my wife does.
