1st green fish trip months. The rock fishing has been too good to mess with brim and urban deer season opened here at the house and some does needed whacking.

Outgoing 80° water temp. Water clarity was good enough in places you could see shell beds in 4' easily. Out from 11-2:30. Two 13" fish to show for it and I fished some real nice isolated grass clumps as well as frogging edges.

Sucked. Back in the deer stand.

Only thing biting good were the damn flys.
It's been sucking since June. With no measurable amount of rain for almost a month the salinity level in the bay is 22.7 psu. Colonial Beach was 17.1 psu. Has to be 12+ up to at least Occoquan. Happens every few years with the same results were seeing now. You guys that don't saltwater fish can go into Aquia and catch blue fish and puppy drum!

    It'll be different next year.
