    trolling motor battery size?

I am buying new trolling motor batteries for my 2200. I am considering going to three group 24 deep cycle batteries to conserve space and weight in the rear compartment. Has anyone done this or have any suggestions. I wish I could just go lithium but $300 for batteries sounds a whole lot better.

I’d go 27/29 ... not much difference in weight...

but id really consider 1 36v lithium
you will lose 150 lbs and it’s literally only 1 battery...

i've got a pair of 36 v Lithium pros hooked in parralel...
actually had one mess up late last year and after sending battery back, they replaced it with ZERO questions asked...great warranty...
in the mean time i used the boat per there "OK" with just the 1 36v battery and saw zero difference in power or battery life...
and im a bank burner with a BIG boat...

so trust me when i tell you, if you are wanting to change for the purpose of Weight and Size, GO LITHIUM!!!

Is that 150 # loss the weight of the amount of money the freaking thing costs?
and if they are the same construction of the 1's that are blowing up in cell phones and other chinese made crappy things, you could really get a major loss by going flying kaaboom.

I have 3 31's plus a 31 cranking battery. No way I would sacrifice a little speed for less power.

You can not go wrong with the Lithium Pros. I have the 36v units and the 12v. Been with them for several years. Ditto on what Lowslung says about service. Great people
