    Platform and Helping Hand

I fabricated this, this past winter, and after 8 months am well pleased. It is sturdy, roomy, no more slipping off tongue or being in bind hooking winch and winching all balancing your self on tongue or small step pad.(iv'e dropped 2 cell phones in water doing this.) When I back in water at ramp I step up on rear truck tire into bed, then over tailgate on to platform, disconnect winch grab Helping Hand on top and step up into boat.(Helping Hand has 2 amber led lights 1 at top to shine on boat and 1 on bottom to shine on winch hook area, great for night or early morning.) I have welded the framework to the trailer 100_1027.JPG100_1029.JPG100_1033.JPG100_1032.JPGframe but could be easily be made to bolt on.

Great work there. I did a similar plate but no hand rail. I did add a small step. Works great.

Never get wet. Step down from the boat onto my landing pad, very easy, when loading. Step onto the diamond plate from the truck bed and up onto the boat when launching. 1/4" Aluminum diamond plate. Cut main shape at the metal shop. Cut corners and oil hole at home, jig saw and hole saw. Pop rivet to the trailer with a bead of silicone in-between. Angle brackets on the side where the plate overhangs the trailer rail a bit for support. Added the step mounted under the wench with a brace (leftover from Ultrex).

Very nice, my problem is that my tongue must swing away in order to fit in the garage.
