Z520c- 25P Fury 3 Blade- Extra vent holes?

    I run 2016 Z520c, 2 Stroke 250 Pro XS, Fury 3 Blade 25P

Have heard that adding 3 additional 5/16" vent holes is a good option for this prop.

Anyone offer upside or down side information?

Input is appreciated. I am considering having prop altered.

BTW- Fish SE Texas (Rayburn, Toledo, Livingston, Conroe, Houston, etc...) Hot and Humid.

I am sending mine off to marks props after the season is over to that very thing. Really helps with hole shot.

There’s no downside other than paying to have it done. Most guys running a Fury 3 on that boat run all pvs holes wide open, or very minimally vented. When you add extra venting, you may have to put in 1 solid plug. Venting only affects hole shot.

Have you tried a 24? I really woke mine up when I had a C boat.

I added 3 additional holes to a 25 Fury on my 2010 Z521 that cut one second off the hole shot right after they became available. It is not difficult to do especially if you have a drill press. Fury's can vary from prop to prop quite a bit so sending it to Mark Croxton and having it blueprinted can make a significant improvement from hole shot to top end.

What is top end and rpm with the 24 four blade compared to 25 three blade? considering going to a 4 blade on my 2011 Z520C. just not sure on 24,25, or a 26 may be too much. Talking Fury prop

I run the same boat and motor. My 25" Fury has the extra vent holes. Hole shot is noticibly better but top end is about the same.
