    Compression Test Procedure Question

    2005 Mercury XR6 SN# 1B070546

    I intend on following the procedure in the FAQs with one exception. In lieu of grounding the plugs or attaching a tester to each one I intend on using a remote starter switch directly to the starter solenoid. My understanding is the ignition is bypassed by not using the key to start.

    Is this an acceptable practice?
