Just curious as I never use mine. Wanting to make sure I am not missing some trick to actually make it useful? Best use I find is to run it on the way back home from ramp.

I am thinking about wiring a bypass for mine so I can turn it on with the power off while on the charger for example. Seems crazy to have to leave the power on to run the drying fan. And while on the water it's noisy and during the actual rainstorm cant be doing a whole lot of anything.
So frustrating as the concept is excellent. Beyond me why they do not incorporate a timer or other means to run it in your storage area without fear of running battery down. I agree that running it in the rain or other high humidity environment only makes the issue worse, needs to be ran in a dry area/environment (home).
Anybody thought of actually letting Ranger know your ideas to make it better?

I turn it on in when my boat is in garage and I am in boat fiddling around just to use this feature.

Well that makes me feel better. Turned mine on to see if it worked and have never turned it on again.
