70 hp johnson

70 hp Johnson j70elcur it has gas spitting out of the front of the carburetor when it is running the top and middle carbs not the bottom carb I checked the float level in all three carbs they were ok the motor doesn't idle good but it runs good on plane compression is 100 on all three cylinders. I was wondering what to look for to fix the problem. thanks for any reply

Hold a piece of paper over each carb and see if it gets sucked in to the carb if not possibly reeds.

I found the two carbs were loose I tightened them up and tried the piece of paper on each carb and it sucked in on all three carbs . I will try it out on the lake and let you know if that helped . thanks for the reply
