    Wisconsin - Jonathan Taylor

In no particular order will be contenders... Dan

Fields looks impressive. Hurts is at a school now that seems to be a favorite selection. Tua and Lawrence are from the top 2 schools that have been dominating. It'll be interesting to follow this year.

Whichever one doesn't have a loss by voting time. Most likely Lawrence or Fields.

Burrow at LSU. He's got a signature win already and had been very impressive.

Joe Burrows is in that deal also. He has some great stats, but will not have as great as Tua's or Hurts. They pulled him at the start of the of the 3rd quarter in the 1st game and the 3rd game....the one last night. Still had almost 400 yards passing. They trying to get Brennen some playing time to start next year.

I'm pulling for Hurts. Probably some OK fatigue though

I am a Bama fan and will not be disappointed if Jalen wins it. He is putting up record stats but has also shown class, sportsmanship, ability to put team first, and patience at a level higher than any other contender. The award is supposed to be considerant of all those qualities, not just athletic achievement. Though he is not playing for Bama he is still a part of the Bama nation and we would be proud for him to win the award. He deserves the recognition.

It has to be Joe Burrow as of right now. Best performance, on the road, against a top team. It will likely change as the season goes on. A vote for anyone else today is a vote for what you BELIEVE they will do, not what they have done.

Think of it this way. Are AL, Clemson, OSU undefeated with a backup? Most likely. Does LSU defeat UT without JB - not likely.

Count Hurts out. They cant give it to OU again. Fields has looked pretty good but still a little early for me to tell. 2 more weekends should give a much better idea.

Wondering is there an NCAA rule prohibiting such or personal opinion?

He should get it if he keeps running like he has the last couple years, but not much love out there for little old Wisconsin.

Just personal opinion plus the politics in the NCAA. That would be 3 in a row if I'm not mistaken. At this point I'm betting on Tua only because Lawrence has thrown to many interceptions. But there are plenty of good options at this point.

    Lawrence is a contender.
Burrows takes at least one lose.
Fields takes 1 or 2 losses.
Taylor is a good qb but his team will not hold up for a complete season.
