    Onboard oil tank leak

2001 200 Optimax 0T273469 noticed after fishing today had oil leaking from underneath the cowl. Took cowl off and noticed oil leaking from the onboard tank. Anyone had this issue and is it an easy fix?

Yes. If the tank is leaking, then it needs replaced $$$

Those caps are known to break and I don’t think mercury will sell just the parts. You might be able to find what you need from a blown engine, check with any local boat dealers.

The “O” ring on the cap for my onboard tank went bad. Leaked oil all over. Was able to get the O ring replaced and everything is fine.
