I should add that in 2015 I was the marshal for Nate Wellman on Day 1 of the Chesapeake Bay tournament when he weighed in a 5 fish limit for 4 lbs. 2 oz., the smallest limit ever weighed into an Elite event.

My uncle went to a fish a tournament at a lake he had never fished. He gave me a call asking about the lake. I told him a few community holes and told him the whereabouts of one specific tree. He calls me that night to thank me. He caught the only keeper of the tournament at that tree. He said he would never would have fished that area if I hadn't told him about it. I always felt that was my win also.

I believe I was in a Pro/Am in the 90's at Beaver Lake mid March- snowed 2 days before and cold. I think 5 AMs caught 6 fish out of 150 Ams. I believe a 7.14 took 1st and Big Bass in a 2 day and half the Ams had their owned Bassboat(skilled anglers- or sandbaggers). I still remember that Big Tug as my pro was zipping along a bluff about 2:30pm. Pure Shock and a loose line hookset resulted in nothing..

Won a $250.00 pot in a Saturday club tournament a few years back with a single 6-4 fish. Around 20 boats fishing on a cold, windy, post-cold front January day under bluebird skies. I believe only 4 or 5 fish were weighed that day. Won overall, and big bass.
Caught mine on an Arkie jig with a #11 Uncle Josh frog about 1/2 before weigh-in.

Yes he did! Another one was won a few years later with two fish in January. I finished second in one with two fish for 2.8 pounds, last minute a team weighed in 34 pounds. Only fish caught that day.

I fished a local tournament during a tropical storm once. At launch the tournament director called a meeting for the anglers to vote whether or not they still wanted to fish. There wasn't any lightning so everyone voted to just go with it. Wind blew 40-50 all day lol. 30+ boats. I came in second with 4.85. Winner had 5.01

My dad and I won 1st place and BB with one fish for 1#15oz. It was the only fish weighed in. A buddy and I won this spring with a three fish limit of 6.55# on a miserable day. It was so miserable out that had I been the boater I'd have tossed our fish back and hit the road. Big bass there is usually what we had for 3. It was just tuff for everyone.

Partner and I were fishing the Lee King charity tournament, now known as the Alabama Childrens Classic Bass tournament, out of Lakepoint Marina in Eufaula, AL. about ten years ago. This tourn guaranteed fifteen paid places with 1500 for first place. They also paid 100 for the smallest legal fish weighed in. About noon we had a small limit of about 10 lbs and I caught a bream on a jigging spoon. I told Bill, my partner that this may be a contender for smallest fish. He asked me if I was serious about weighing it in. I said yes, why wouldn't I. He said that it would be on their website for a year and it would be embarrassing. I told him that I had worked a lot harder in my life for a lot less. Released all the bass before weighin and carried the bream to the weighin in a little sandwich baggie full of water. I got to the weighin tanks and all these guys had bags that looked about 14-17 lbs waiting to weigh. They all laughed pretty good looking at my fish. Bill told me that he'd wait in the truck and if I heard a gunshot, it would be him shooting himself. I won smallest fish and 100 and got the last laugh because it took 18 lbs to get 15th place money.

Summer of 2007. Fishing back side of big storm. Huge flood tide. You could have put a glass boat almost anywhere that day. Fished all day and in the last 30 minutes caught 4 fish that went 4.97. Took big fish and first place.

A few years back, the Professional Musky Tournament Trail had their championship event on Green Bay Wisconsin. In two days of fishing, the best of the best blanked - nobody caught a fish. All the prize money was distributed through drawings.
