Shouldn't be any performance differences if mounted correctly.
My wife asks if I'm going to fish every day. I can't fish every day. Some days I might be sick.
No difference. Matter of preference to which way you stow your motor.

I tried it on the Right side of the downtube (where it fits better relative to storage position of the trolling motor), but the image seems off, or skewed about 90 degrees vs. it being on the Left side. Is there a setting on the screen that flips/orients the image correctly? Thanks for the help and responses !!!

Scroll down till you find the mounting diagram. It shows four different mounting positions. That should clear it up for you.

I keep my ultrex prop on the outside of the boat when in stowed position so that decided it for me. I haven't had any issues.
