    Cavitation issue

    Ha e a new 1880 with Merc 115.
    Have a manual jack plate.
Problem is I am not sure if motor is sitting to high..
When I try to get on plane, boat starts cavitating.. Motor trimmed all the way down is fine, but when I start trimming up to get on full pad, that's the problem.
Do I need to try lowering the jackplate.?

Sounds like you are running at to slow of speed to be trimming up?

I would definitely have a conversation with your dealer and see what they tell you.

I can run at full throttle trimmed all the way down and when I start to trim up is when it starts cavitating

Which manual jack plate do you have? Did you have the issue resolved?
