    That would be a PITA for construction just like pocket doors. Having the wall space to retract in is the problem.

    I like the idea, bit modify it like swinging saloon doors with a safety lock. Then when Dan opens the bar it will fit right in.

    Father had a pocket door build in his master bath separating the bath area from the vanity area. House settled within 5 years jamming the pocket door and it has never moved again.

    Thats nothing new. My parents house has a door that slides out of the wall to close off the wing of the house that leads to the den/master bedroom area from the kitchen. House was built in 1980

    If the house was built before 80s it would work .. all these new houses sag more 80 year old balls

    We have two pocket doors and have never had a problem. They are doors that get used a lot too, bathroom and laundry room. Our condo is thirteen years old, but it is built in the “Rock Belt”. You cannot dig a 4” hole without hitting a rock.

    Yeah , I got out of bead yesterday and was having pains and realize was I standing on my balls .
