Changing wheels Ranger Trail

I'm thinking about changing out my Chrome wheels for a set of black ones. What do I need to know before ordering other than making sure they require the same number of lugs. I know nothing about offset and such. Also having a tough time searching out a good selection. Anyone have a lead?

I've been down that road...Gonna be tough finding 17 inchers with the bolt pattern and zero offset...Plenty of wheels with the bolt pattern..just not many with zero offset. "Pros choice marine" does a great looking package as an option, but I imagine it's fairly expensive.

Normally the bolt pattern on boat trailers matches Ford or Chevrolet. I've been considering a change as well but not sure of wheel type.

You will definitely have more choices if you go with an 18in wheel package.

No mods but you will probably have to use a lower profile tire

I am getting ready to change my wheels out. I found a good selection of black wheels from kmc wheels. Specifically the Xd series. The bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3. The have several 17” 0 offset wheels. I actually found some that match my truck wheels. They are called the grenade. They are available in some different finishes. Good looking wheels

Bass Cat Boats sell a nice looking 15" black rim called the BCB STALKER RIM on their website store that will fit your trailer bolt pattern 5 @ 4.5. they're $189. You could paint the center cap black.

No modifications at all needed. Will more than likely be a 45 series tire.

If going from 14" to 17" you will need to adjust the torsion arm down 2 "clicks" to gain fender clearance.

I had the 17” Bullet wheels put on before delivery. I’m not sure that the dealer adjusted the torsion arms because one side rubs when I hit bumps. I will adjust both myself. I believe they were an additional $1100 to swap them out with the original wheels.
