Gen2 touch units with SS3D

I have Gen2 touch units on my boat and I’ve heard that the SS3D would improve Structure Scan and Down scan imaging.
Im thinking about picking up a SS3D module and transducer and would like some feedback from anyone who has used it with the Gen2 units.

I ran that set up for a few years and yes it will improve your imaging, you can't run the 3d but SI and DI yes. I am still running it with two live 9T units. Len

I knew I wouldn’t be able to run 3D and from what I’ve heard it wasn’t what it was cracked up to be. I’m only interested in improving the Structure scan images.
