2000 models had the 4 butterfly system. 2001 models and beyond had the downdraft intake and Motorola processor. This could go either way and few months on either side. Mercury has been known to incorporate changes mid year.

Thanks for the info. Went and ran it today I think I got a different ratio LU than what I had before. I need about 300 more rpms to do the same mph. I also have another issue that I'll probably start a new thread to get help with...when it rains it pours.
see that junction block for bleed lines those were used on earliest efi 3.0L , should be 96 model
