    Diagnostic connector

    225 Pro XS
    S/N 1B287870

Per my other post with an overheat issue, I'm going to buy the Diacom Marine PC Software. My choices for the cable is a 4 pin connector or an optional 2 pin connector. I called Diacom and they think my diagnostic cable connection is 4 pin but wasn't positive due to the year (2006). Is the 4 pin connection in my pics in the center of the PCM the diagnostic connection? My Mercury manual wasn't very clear about the harness connections. Thanks!

As Savage said- you need the 4-pin (which you have already located the connector for).

Ordered the Diacom Marine PC Software 94010 today. It comes with the Mercury 4 pin cable. Should have it the middle of next week.

Appreciate the info from everyone here.

Hope you provide feedback after receipt and use. I've thought about one several times but cost is a factor for me.

I'm hoping to get it in time to hook it up and get some data next week before going out of town for a few days. It will be interesting to see what faults are recorded. I have the printouts from May 2012 when I bought the boat. There were 22 overspeed in neutral faults. Not sure if they were cleared or not. I know that I'm guilty of a few as this is my first hotfoot. Sometimes I have a disconnect between my hand, foot and brain!

Received the Diacom Marine package today and installed the software. Hoping to get some data from my motor tomorrow.

I pulled the data from my motor tonight. I don't think anything has every been cleared out and I didn't either yet. The software was pretty easy to navigate but I did watch the Rinda videos last week. Not sure how to post 5 pages.
