    Ranger Cayman 191 Transom Transducer

Trying to mount a transducer for my inshore fishing cousin. Between the stepped transom, the backplate and trim tabs, I can't find a "thats it" spot to mount the transducer for the Helix 7 he just purchased.

    Does anyone have and suggestions?

    Will attach some pictures soon.

Can't seem to resize photos from my iPhone 6 to get them to upload. Will try to upload them to photo bucket or something.

The picture holding up the transducer mounting bracket just below the jackplate favoring the starboard side is about the only place I can see that should allow on plane reading but unsure how that might negatively impact the prop with potential cavitation.

Which transducer are you trying to mount? Will it have to provide depth readings while running? I successfully mounted a long Lowrance LSS2 transducer above the drain plug of a Triton 186. The back resembled picture 3.
