A taxi cab passenger tapped old Fontenot (he was a new driver) on the shoulder to ask him a question. Fontenot screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, went on the sidewalk, and stopped just inches from a shop window.
For a second everything went quiet in the cab, then Fontenot said, "Look my fren, don't ever do dat again. You scared da daylights out of me!"
The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."
Fontenot replied, "Sorry, it's not really you fault. Today is my first day as a cab driver. I had been driving a hearse for da last 25 years."
