Meat potatoes and veggies with salt and pepper are all the ingredients you need, if someone likes real spicy they can put it on at the table.

My cooking involves taking something raw, putting some spices on it, and heating it to the level of doneness desired. Now my wife on the other hand, she can actually cook chef style and without a recipe take a lot of different things, put them together and they come out delicious. When I try that it ends up in the bin.

A cook that like to keep it basic quality ingredients and let them shine?

Depends on what it is being cooked......but I do tinker a lot with spices and such....and usually it comes out good.....just can't ever remember the combo I used for the next time tho
