Any Trx owners using a loc r bar?

Had a loc r bar on my old boat cuz the boat was outside under a carport. Would like to add it to this boat as well when i looked at the dealer seemed like there was enough room to install the brackets just wondering if there are any issues installing one? Thanks!

I put one on my trx 15 pretty easy but getting up the nerve to drill took a couple of beers

Just make sure of your drill holes ( you only get one chance ). Put masking tape over the place you want to drill and drill through that. It will keep you from cracking up you gel coat ( spidering ) at least it will help If not totally prevent it.

The idea is to burn through the brittle more crack prone surface before punching the hole through.

Most definitely tape and back drill. I was just making sure there was plenty of room on the gunnels for the brackets.

also.. use a piece of painters tape ..

If you use a diamond coated hole saw, it won't crack the gel. They are hard and basically grind the hole, much cleaner results.

Now this sounds like a good idea. I never thought of that before but that would work much better thanks!
