What size props are you guys using, specifically G2 200?
Mine came with a Raker 24P and i think i need at least a 26.

My G2 150 came stock with a 24P Raker. I wouldn't think they would run the same prop.

Yeah i`m thinking the same thing. They probably had a bunch of those 24P laying around from all those 1980`s they were building and just put one of those on.
Pretty sure i could turn a 26 or 27.

You beat me too it. I was thinking the exact same thing. Trying to not spend $500 on spare prop.

I ran a 26 Fury yesterday 63.2MPH @5650 RPM`s. So for the 24 Raker is the best 66.4 MPH @ 5850 rpm`S.
Also tried a 26 Tempest and a 25 Fury. On my set up the Raker beats them all.All of these props were from friends that all own Mercurys.
Need to find a a 26 Raker and try it.

The reason for them both running the same pitch is the gear ratio in the 150ho, it is a 2.05:1 and the 200ho is a 1.85:1. I ran a 25 tempest on my 150ho/Ranger z185 setup for this reason.

Glad you’re getting good results from your 24 Raker, though it might mean my search for a spare continues:-) Thanks for posting as we haven’t had much feedback on different props and their performance in this forum.

mine came with a RX3 15.5 x 25 and only turning 5100 rpm, 62 mph, dealer ordered a raker 14.5 x 24 should be in Friday or Monday he said. will let you all know of the results.

neo, I have been told that a 26 Raker has been working for a couple different people. I just bought one and will be testing it out when I receive it next week. I have been told that it runs about 58-5900 RPM and in the upper 60's. My 24 Raker runs about 67 with just me but I can't trim out all the way because I go over 6k. I'll let you know what happens when I get to test the new prop.

got my boat back today. ran 64.2 @5900 rpm, raker 24 , light wind, 92 degrees, full of fuel, three gallons water in live well, most all storage comp full, 10 rods and gear, and my 250 of gravitational pull. I am happy with the way it ran today. yesterday was wayyy too hot to get out 102 deg. glad its cooling off finally. oh, one other thing, hole shot is great with all the plugs closed off, so will leave them that way for now.

Well the Raker II I purchased has a pressed in hub....after doing research these are very rare and just my bad luck I guess. I'm back on the search for one!!

I really haven't heard of that either, but I'm new to the high HP engines. hope the dealer will work with you on this.
