While I am no expert there, I have fished it off and on for about 18 years. Only a handful of times each year. Mostly club tournaments and have had some decent days there. I do go and play fish there since it is closer to the house. The past 5 years it has been a very good lake. I'm not even going to list the bags and big fish caught because its one of the few places that has not become Lay, Logan, or Guntersville as far as fishing pressure. This time of year is tough on a lot of places. Sept has been hotter than July and Aug. Very odd. Days of 95-99 and water temps at 90 makes it tough for anyone. Bank Head, AKA Warrior is a place you can catch fish almost anytime. Fish the bank grass, flats, wood/log jams, rock, and bluffs. Up river fishes different than down river. Down river is deeper, more bluffs and spotted bass. I have fished pretty much every creek on the mud hole is what I call it. Trust me, I have had some rough days there as well.
