    250 ProXS Oil Leak?

I found this in my garage yesterday. The boat ran fine last time I was out, and I haven't hit anything that I'm aware of... Any ideas? I've already emailed my dealer to get it into the shop but just want to see what the consensus is.

Sorry the image is on it's side... it's oil leaking from the water intake on the lower unit. I'll post the serial number when I get home. Don't have access to it at the moment, but it's a 2019 250 Pro XS

Also, I pulled the cowling and no sign of oil anywhere on the inside. I also checked the level and it seemed to be OK, but I'm not 100% sure why they went with a dipstick with yellow balls on it for level indications...

Just learned from my dealer that the lower unit fluid in these mercs is brown. I was accustomed to the blue/grey that was in my old Evinrude. Apparently I have a leaking lower unit. Hopefully that's covered under warranty...

If it's a defect, it's covered during the warranty period. Possibly a driveshaft seal...

Be sure to update with Serial Number and information on what was done to rectify the problem.

Engine oil is brown and Lower Unit Oil should have a blue tint.
